On Tuesday 12th September I had the distinct pleasure of working with Rachel Gertz at Louder Than Ten to deliver a guest lecture for their first round of apprentices in their new program. If this isn’t something that you’ve discovered yet, I highly recommend checking out their work:
Louder than Ten apprenticeship
In my session, I was joined by six very sharp and information-hungry apprentices who let me talk to them about some of the fundamentals of shaping processes and influencing their organisation. The session was intended to give the apprentices the skills necessary to choose between the overwhelming number of tools and processes available in project management. The lecture activities included steps to analyse and identify so that real problems can be solved, instead of just treating symptoms of a problem. We also covered how to choose a solution to those problems, and based on different factors like organisational structure, or team impact, what to consider for determining an appropriate and long-lasting solution.
